Barry's biography

I started playing golf at the age of 8 at Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club in Co.Meath

At the age of 16 after years of playing successful golf and with a handicap of 4 i decided to become a Professional Golfer

1991: I began my career has an assistant Professional at Slade Valley Golf Club in Co.Dublin where I worked for 4 years

1995: Qualified as an EGTF Golf Professional at the age of 20

1995 - 2004: I conducted lessons at Spawell Driving Range in Templeogue, later I took residency at Newcastle Driving Range in Lucan

2004 - May 2008: Resident Professional at Portmarnock Driving Range where I created The Barry Power Golf Academy

May 2008 - Present: Resident Professional at Drynam Park Golf Centre, opened the new bigger and better Barry Power Golf Academy

> Multiple appearances on Tv3 Ireland Am, providing Golf Tips to Ireland's morning viewers

> Becoming a Major contributor on golf tuition to newspapers such as the Irish Independent and the Irish times

> Appointed Tv3's Ireland AM Ryder Cup 2008 analyst, watch the episodes here

> Leinster Cup finalist in the Jimmy Bruen

> Junior Cup Team player

> Selected Senior Cup panel member for Laytown & Bettystown G.C

> Youngest person in Laytown & Bettystown G.C history to be given intermediate status to allow me to play in Senior competitions
